
Under the patronage
of his Excellency Sheikh “Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education
and Scientific Research, the “Middle East Molecular Biology Congress” will be
held from (14th to 17th) of September (2014) in “Dubai
World Trade Center”, and it is organized by the “Middle East Molecular Biology
Society”, in order to discuss the new scientific researches in the field of “Molecular
Biology”.
The organizers of
the Congress, which is first of its kind in this field in the Arab World and
Middle East, announced that the (15th) of April (2014) is the
deadline for submitting research papers for the conference, which will discuss
various topics in this field, including “BioEthics and Client Safety”,
“Biotechnology”, “Clinical Bioinformatics”, “Clinical Genetics and PIGD”,
“Ecology and Environment”, “Diabetes and Endocrinology”, “Epigenomics”,
“Genomics Research”, “Haematological Malignancies”, “Haemoglobinopathies”,
“Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation”, “Immunogenetics and
Histocompatibility”, “Immunity and Vaccination”, “Lab Management”, “Metabolic
Disorders”, “Microbial Drug Resistance”, “Microbiology Diagnostics”, “Molecular
Epidemiology”, “Neurosciences”, “Parasitic Diseases”, “Personalised Medicine”,
“Population Genetics”, “Proteomics”, “Solid Tumors”, “Technical Solution”, and
“Viral infections”.
About (1200) visitors from the region and outside are expected to attend
the Congress in its first session, whose agenda will include a series of scientific
lectures and workshops, in addition to a specialized exhibition to display the
latest innovations and services in this field. The Congress, which will be held
every year, will gather hundreds of organizations and persons specialized in
the field of “Molecular Biology”.
“Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” is receiving great attention from
researchers at the State level, and according to a study issued by the “Arab
Scientific Community Organization” about “Scientific Excellence in the Arab
World - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology”, the “UAE University” topped the
Arabic research institutions, while Professor “Omar El-Agnaf” and Professor
“Sehamuddin Kaladari” were distinguished for their research papers.
