His Highness Sheikh
Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, witnessed the
signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the UAE Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Russian Ministry of Education
and Science, in addition to the signing of a MoU for cooperation between the
Ministries of Economy of both countries.
This came during his
Highness’s chairmanship of the fourth meeting of the Joint Committee between
the UAE and Russia in Moscow on Friday, October 10th, during which
they discussed ways to strengthen the economic, trade and investment
cooperation between the two sides.

Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his speech at the closing meeting, expressed
thanks and appreciation to the Russian delegation, and praised Moscow for
hosting the fourth meeting of the Joint Committee between the two countries.
His Highness said
that the UAE and Russia are linked by ties of friendship based on the spirit of
understanding, mutual respect, and the common desire to develop these relations
and upgrade them, pointing out that the convening of this meeting demonstrates
the success of the previous meetings of the Joint Committee between the two
countries.
His Excellency Dennis
Manturov, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, welcomed in his speech the
visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his accompanying
delegation, and stressed the importance of this visit to contribute to the
promotion and consolidation of bilateral relations, and open horizons and new
areas for the strategic cooperation between the two countries, especially in
the fields of economy, trade, investment, and science.
