Al Mazroui Urges Stay Abreast of Official Text

In an interview with Al
Sharjah Radio, the Undersecretary Assistant of Institutional and Support
Services in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Saif
Al Mazroui, cautioned students applying to private universities in the State or
abroad, to obtain the Ministry’s approval prior toenrolment. This year the Ministry
has received more than (18,000) eighteen thousand applications in total,and
will direct (12,000) twelve thousand to State institutions, and (350) to
scholarships abroad, in compliance with the Minister’s Decision issued two
years ago.Mazroui pointed out that the Ministry website provides a list of certified
and licensed institutions within the State, and the opportunity for students to
inquire about any university in the world through anelectronic
request without having to go to the ministry.
This cautionary statement
came within several guidelines and tips to students after conveying Sheikh
Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan’scongratulatory wishes and his hopesfor a
distinctive academic future.The Undersecretary Assistant alsoindicated that the
Ministry communicates with students in various regions during the year in
cooperation with the Ministry of Education through outreach campaigns.
Al Mazroui stressed that
studentsbe attentive to text messages sent by the Ministry informing them
oftheir university acceptance, interviews and instructional days, noting it is
criticalto adhere to stated dates.
