Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh “ Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum”, Vice-President, Prime Minister of the “UAE” and Ruler of Dubai, more than (3500) personage including leaderships, ministers, government officials, senior speakers, decision makers, experts, executives, and leading governmental and innovative intellects are to meet at the (2nd ) annual “Government Summit” which constitutes an ideal platform for knowledge and thought  exchange, and the best practices of methods of creativity and the leading governmental services which are considered the aim of future governments to achieve happiness among citizens  and reach an integrated system of cooperation and joint work between the government and private sectors.

The importance of the “Government Summit 2014”, which will be launched during the period (10-12) February, lies in the transition from satisfaction to happiness of citizens which is the essence of the relationship that should prevail between governments and citizens who aspire to receive the best services easily, which imposes a challenge on governments to meet these aspirations through innovative channels and smart means that reach the citizens and achieves their happiness.

Education, health and social services are on top of the summit’s agenda as they are considered the most citizen-related sectors, and one of the most fundamental subjects that affect their lives. The summit is to review the most important international trends in using technology in education development, and to determine the opportunities and challenges that face smart learning to keep up with today’s needs, with the emphasis that progress in technology and competition on job opportunities led to the importance of building a knowledge-based economy, and hence, education is a priority in the agenda of governments around the world.

The importance of participating in the (2nd) annual “Government Summit” is attributed to its status as an international government forum for the best practices, and an annual meeting for exchange of expertise, and a national and international knowledge convention to discuss the best policies and latest developments and trends to achieve prosperity and well-being for societies, and due to the positive impact which was achieved at the (1st) edition of the summit in (2013), it succeeded to add new international strategic partnerships for  the “Summit 2014”, such as,  the“World Economic Forum”, which will discuss the future of the government administration in the world. The “UAE” and “World Economic Forum” agreed to host the “Global Agenda Councils Summit”.  The “Government Summit” has enhanced its knowledge partnerships with national and international authorities and institutions, and high-profile speakers will participate in the main and interactive sessions of the summit along with senior experts and academics in the fields of administration and science, and specialists in government policies.  The Summit is to continue for the second year in a row to launch a series of international reports in Arabic language, for the first time, on the development of government services, and to present many work sheets and constructive discussions which contribute to spread of knowledge, and setting a role model for the development of concepts and practices of government in the region.
