Najah 2014 for
Education and Careers Exhibition starts today, Tuesday, October 28th,
and will continue until October 30th at Abu Dhabi National
Exhibition Centre, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin
Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and
by support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abu Dhabi
Education Council, and Dubai International Academic City.
The Exhibition is an
ideal opportunity for the youth who are searching for new educational and job
opportunities, by meeting with more than 100 local and international exhibitors
from leading universities and companies.
The educational
institutions in "Najah 2014" will work to provide detailed
information about the academic programs, training programs, and scholarships
offered, and a number of professors and research students will be present to provide
in-depth demonstrations about universities and programs.
The exhibition will
mark the first participation of the National Qualifications Authority, during
which the "Registration of Educational and Training Bodies" service
will be launched as the first smart service for the Authority, in the presence
of Dr. Thani Al Muhairi, Director- General of the National Authority for
Qualifications, and a range of important figures specialized in the scientific
and academic fields.
Dr. Muhadditha Al
Hashimi, Director of Sharjah Women’s College of HCT, said the various academic
courses in the 17 Higher Colleges of Technology in the State allow the students
to specialize and gain advanced knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the
local economy, and participate in educational and training courses outside the State,
as the colleges are participating to display their students’ projects in the Exhibition,
many of which won prizes.
For its part, Abu
Dhabi University offers new academic initiatives planned to be implemented
during the current academic year, and details will be announced during its
participation in “Najah 2014”.
Masdar Institute of
Science and Technology sheds light on the opportunities it offers to the
Emiratis students, which include training courses at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology in the USA, and at another one in Japan in cooperation
with the Japan International Cooperation Center and the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry of Japan, in addition to research training programs
organized by the faculty members of the Institute for students in collaboration
with international academic institutions, in order to help them develop their
own research.
As for the Emirates
College of Technology, it will introduce its visitors to the College’s
scholarship programs, for which it allocated more than eight million and 600
thousand Dirhams, in addition to the scientific trips organized by the College
for students to develop entrepreneurial skills, gain diverse experiences, and
keep abreast of the scientific and educational developments, and this is what
supports the practical side of their specialties.
Environment Agency –Abu
Dhabi is participating in “Najah Exhibition” in order to attract the national competencies
with distinguished capabilities and skills to participate in the implementation
of its strategy, so as to protect the environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
in land, air, and sea, and within its strategy to increase the proportion of
its Emirati employees.
