In completion of the
academic counseling program for high school students for the academic year
2014-2015, NAPO of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
will continue its visits to all public and private schools and technical
institutes on Sunday, October 12th, which marks the week following
Eid Al Adha holiday.
This program is
aimed at twelfth grade students, either citizens or children of Emirati women, which
was initiated by the Ministry’s NAPO on September 18th and is to
continue until the end of October, and the Ministry is organizing these visits
in coordination with the Ministry of Education, the boards of education, and the
educational zones in the State.
The program aims to
educate and inform the students and their parents about the process of
admission and registration in public higher education institutions, programs,
and educational opportunities for students, and the mechanism of registration
and acceptance in external scholarships provided by the Ministry of Higher
Education and Scientific Research, in addition to private universities in the State
and their accredited academic programs, information about the conditions of
acceptance, how to fill out the online application form, and the CEPA-English
exam.
On the sidelines of the
academic counseling, NAPO organizes a series of workshops aimed at the social
workers and coordinators in schools, educational institutions, and educational
zones, under the title "Let us work together in service of students",
so as to inform them of the projects of the Admission and Registration
Department and its new initiatives, in order to build a bridge of communication
with the specialists in the educational zones, and exchange ideas, information
and experiences, so as to create early awareness about opportunities for higher
education in the State and provide better services for students.
