HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has expressed the importance of education, training and employment fairs - including NAJAH fair- in introducing to the students the educational opportunities available in the public and private higher educational institutions and the approved academic programs and their compatibility to the labor market and development plans in the country, pointing HE that such Exhibitions provide a forward-looking picture about the employment future for these students after their graduation, so that they can identify their employment options early, and will enhance the ability of students to serve the national development purpose and keep pace with their needs with respect to the knowledge economy.
This came during the opening of "NAJAH" yesterday; the exhibition of education, training and employment on its sixth edition this year, at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre in the presence of universities and colleges managers and many leaders in the education and employment sector with abroad participation of students, involving about (120) students of universities and educational institutions along with a number of employers to communicate with thousands of students.
And HE Sheikh Nahyan toured several stands in the exhibitions talking to the students participated in this exhibition, praising the efforts to establish such events that targeting students who wish to continue their educational journey, and graduates seeking better job opportunities
D. Al hassani has confirmed the importance of this meeting, which comes within the framework of the plan of Implementation of the circular of establishing the "National Authority for Qualifications" issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in August 2010, where the Authority developed and approved the EMARATI qualification system in order to make sure that all the educational institutions issues certificates that comply with the international standards.
Focus
Many educational institutions, employers as well as companies provide various opportunities for education, training and employment. And several organizations are seeking opportunities to attract UAE locals to work with them which supports the Emiritization strategy in various sectors, in light of a strong focus on attracting specialized and technical personnel in the scientific fields of engineering, medicine, pharmacy, nursing and areas in other sciences, which considered an opportunity for those with a scientific leanings.
Said Khurram Saeed, NAJAH exhibition Manager that education remains the focus area of UAE government, which has allocated around $ 8.2 billion of the total budget, which reached an amount of $ 41 billion for the current year to the education sector in response to the large increase in the numbers of young people in the country, pointing out that, according to the National Center for Statistics , graduated during the academic year (2010/2011) reached about (27 thousands and 909 students UAE locals, expecting a similar number of graduates this year, raising the universities and training institutes shares to attract greater numbers of students for their programs, and NAJAH is an ideal platform for graduates who wish to have access to education, training and employment opportunities available in the market.
Academic programs and scholarships
ADEC have displayed educational and training programs in addition to 15 positions in various departments, some of them in legal affairs and private schools sectoe, said Salem Sayari Executive Director of Support Services Council of Abu Dhabi Education; The Council is keen to participate annually in NAJAH exhibitions, which considered as an important channel of communication with students who wish to know the academic and educational programs to continue their university education.
Praise
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan has praised the Zayed University section in the exhibition, which included information about the academic programs, cultural initiatives of the university, brochures and educational materials posted by the university through its colleges, institutes and research centers, as well as the education certificates awarded to under graduates and post undergraduates, in addition to scientific training programs offered to students by reputed institutions in the country and various business sectors in order to develop their academic performance and scientific and educational skills
