The Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the Commission for
Academic Accreditation, and Scholarship and Cultural Foreign Relations
Department, is to hold the fourth orientation forum in order to identify the
latest developments and services offered, which will take place on Tuesday, 3rd
of June, 2014. Holding the forum is part of the Ministry’s care for students on
scholarships, and in line with the directives of his Excellency Sheikh Hamdan
Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan to deliver support services that help facilitate their
lives, so as to devote themselves to their study and achievement.
The forum is held
with the participation of various official authorities and institutions,
including: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry
of Education, Abu Dhabi Education Council, UAE University, ADNOC, Abu Dhabi
Police GHQ, Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, Sheikh Saqr Program For
Government Excellence, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management
Authority, Dubai Police, Scholarship Coordination Office, the National
Qualifications Authority, Dubai Ruler’s Court, the Ministry of Presidential
Affairs, the Health Authority, and UAE Armed Forces.
During the forum,
which will be attended by a number of journalists and media specialists, a
documentary on the services offered by the Ministry will be displayed, and the regulation
of equalization of distance education (e-learning) certificates will be
presented, in addition to a presentation about the portal for students on
scholarships, and journalists will ask questions in the allocated period of time
to be answered and discussed by the Ministry’s representatives.
A list of higher
education institutions recommended to study in abroad in distance learning (e-learning)
was published for four countries: the United States, the United Kingdom,
Australia and New Zealand, and it is noteworthy that the portal for students on
scholarships is an integrated database to follow up on students from the moment
they apply for scholarships until they graduate, and view their academic and
financial details through the student’s electronic file, noting that all services are provided electronically
through the portal.
