Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah honours 87 winners of the Educational Excellence Award
H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, and H.E Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, yesterday honoured 87 educators, researchers, students, work teams, institutions, initiatives and programs that had been awarded during the 13th edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Educational Excellence Award. This was done during the award ceremony held at the auditorium of the Ministry of Culture & Knowledge Development Centre in Ras Al Khaimah, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Kayed Al Qassimi, Head of the Economic Development Department, a number of members of the Federal National Council, leaders from the Ministry of Education, and a large number of executive leaders at both Federal and local authorities in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to hundreds of employees from the educational sector.
Ten educational institutions were awarded under the “Distinguished Educational Institution” category while 10 domain directors, heads of schools, teachers and administration staff were awarded under the “Career Excellence” category. 51 kindergarten, primary education in both its stages, and secondary education students were awarded under the “Student Excellence” category. 4 researches won in the “Research & Studies” category whilst 3 educational support institutions and one parent’s council were awarded under the “Community Excellence” category.
Dr. Mohammed Abdul Latif, Director of the Award, stressed on the importance of the award in its thirteenth edition, in terms of the number of applicants, works and participations which reached 352 participating works from 55 schools, kindergartens and educational support institutions, while the number of winners for this year reached 87.
He mentioned the development of 3 new categories. The third one in particular, in which 10 categories were established, relates to innovation and talent management. He highlighted the Award Management’s constant desire to develop and enhance the overall performance of the indicators and criteria of the award which are in the interest of the educational sector, its staff and sponsors.
