His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, hailed the UAE's hosting of the "Global Skills Competition" Abu Dhabi 2017, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. He said that this event reflects the UAE's long-standing approach to caring for young people and depending on them to continue the path of progress and development in the future.
This came during his Highness visit to the competition, which concludes today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. He inspected the pavilions participating in the accompanying exhibition.

The Global Skills Competition Abu Dhabi 2017 is attended by 1300 contestants from 59 countries competing in 51 different skills, including aircraft maintenance, mobile robots, landscaping, fashion technology, graphic design and many more. The Global Skills Competition Abu Dhabi 2017 aims to instill inspiration among young people and encourage them to engage in technical education and vocational skills to be the tool that allows them to set up their own businesses and upgrade their career development in line with Abu Dhabi's Plan 2030.
