During the

Armed Forces, may Allah protect him, with the aim of taking a leading position

Earlier, the ‘Mohamed
Bin Zayed Award for Best GCC Teacher’ announced that the scope of countries participating
in the third edition of the award would be expanded to include Egypt and Jordan
and that the expatriate teachers in the countries that participated in the previous
editions of the award would be allowed to participate in the award.
Praising the
award for motivating teachers to develop themselves and improve the education
system, el-Tayeb said he was hopeful that the award would be an example to
follow for strengthening co-operation among Arab countries and that the
ministries of education in the Arab world would be inspired by the UAE’s experience
in developing its education system and honoring distinguished teachers.
He pointed out
that Al Azhar had many talented and highly qualified cadres that contributed to
enriching the educational process in Egypt and both the Arab and Islamic worlds,
stressing that Al Azhar is interested in co-operating with the people in charge
of the award with a view to enabling them to benefit from its experiences and capabilities
for enriching the award.
Underscoring the
strong and deep co-operation relations between the UAE and Egypt, Al Qasimi
pointed out that these relations are paid special attention by the wise
leadership at all levels, particularly in the educational fields.
She praised the
efforts exerted by Al Azhar Al Sharif for spreading the tolerant teachings of
Islam and investing its great stature among Arabs and Muslims for promoting the
culture of tolerance and peaceful coexistence and spreading love and fraternity
among peoples. This would enable Al Azhar to become a platform for attracting teachers
with bright ideas and a noble educational message aimed at building generations
capable of achieving prosperity and sustainable development, she said.
She pointed out
that the award is aimed at enhancing motivation and competitiveness among
distinguished teachers in the participating countries as well as developing
their job capabilities and helping them gain such advanced skills that would enable
them to be creative and innovative.
Meanwhile, Al
Darmaki stated that starting from this month the award would be carrying out a number
of workshops on the award. The workshops are aimed at familiarizing all
interested teachers with the award, he said, noting that other introductory
workshops would be carried out for teachers in Egypt and other participating
countries at various time intervals.
Al Darmaki
pointed out that the third edition of the award was keen on making a quantum
leap in the mechanisms of receiving and evaluating applications. To serve this
purpose, the award developed an advanced portal targeting all people concerned
with the award and introduced new criteria related to the goals of sustainable
development and aimed at ensuring the contribution of teachers to achieving the
