H.E Dr. Ahmed Belhoul, Minister of State for Higher Education, chaired a meeting of the Executive Team of Graduation Indicators in Higher Education at the premises of the Ministry of Education where he discussed the latest updates related to action plans, priorities and initiatives made by the team in an effort by the Ministry to intensify its efforts to achieve the objectives of the national agenda related to higher education by 2021.
H.E Dr. Ahmed Belhoul stated: “The Ministry seeks to intensify its efforts in the fields of development through close and continuous work with the Executive Teams of Indicators in Higher Education & Scientific Research, and in order to ensure achievement of tangible results, it is crucial to set action plans based on precise statistics in the field of education”.
The Executive Team of Graduation Indicators in Higher Education presented during the meeting the latest updates in strategic plans and next steps, and it was agreed to establish a unified database for graduates of all educational degrees from higher education institutions and free zones inside and outside the UAE. The team also agreed to implement an analytical study to identify the most important challenges facing UAE national students when enrolling for universities and higher education, and based on the result of the study, motivational initiatives will be organized to support continuation of higher education. His Excellency instructed a study on those bodies providing higher education programs in accordance with specializations and academic degrees in the private sector, and to work on encouraging further private partnerships to support the granting of higher education programs to citizens.
