Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the
UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the fourth session of tow-day Knowledge
Summit, organized by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.
Prior to the
opening session of the summit, H.H launched the "Literacy Challenge"
initiative targeting 30 million Arab youth and children until 2030, in
cooperation with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, UNESCO
and the United Nations Development Program.
H.H Sheikh Mohammed blessed the initiative
and wished it to achieve its goals in providing the educational components of
this large number of Arab youth and children in the Arab world. H.H Sheikh
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wrote in his official Twitter account: we opened
today (yesterday) the Knowledge Summit 2017, our goal is to gather minds to
discuss knowledge issues, gather experts to discuss their best experiences,
gather academics to develop solutions for the challenges, I wish the success for
this combination in serving the homeland and contributing to human development.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum launched the initiative, in presence of H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh
Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and His
Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Chairman of the
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, His Highness Sheikh Mansour
bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and a number of His Highness the Prime
Minister and senior officials of the UAE, both civilian and military, as well
as experts, intellectuals and scientists from the UAE and some 130 Arab and
