Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of
Sharjah, inaugurated on Sunday, February 22nd, 2015, the 4th International
Government Communication Forum (IGCF 2015) under the theme "Specific
Actions...Better Results", which lasts for two days at the Expo Centre
Sharjah, with the participation of more than 40 regional and global leaders
from heads of states and government and media experts, and in the presence of
more than 2,500 local and regional leaders, experts, and communication students
from various universities and institutions of the State.

Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, delivered the opening speech
of the International Government Communication Forum 2015. The opening session
included the speech of former Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, while the opening
session of the second day of the Forum includes the speech of Liberian
President Johnson Sirleaf.

Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Center and Osama Samra, Director of
Sharjah Media Center, received a number of senior political and media figures
and government communication sector experts participating in the Forum,
including Lakhdar Brahimi, Former Special Adviser to Secretary-General of the
United Nations "2004- 2005", Mr. Faisal Al-Fayez, First Vice Chairman
of the Jordanian Senate and Former Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, Former Prime Minister
of Australia, Jose Manuel Barroso, Former Prime Minister of Portugal, and the Former
President of the European Commission, and James Rubin, Former Assistant
Secretary of State in President Bill Clinton's administration.
IGCF 2015, in its
current session, discusses the immediate actions needed to ensure the best
results in terms of the relationship between the government and the public
through effective and clearly defined government communication mechanisms.
