In accomplishment of the State’s agenda and government accelerators in increasing the rate of enrolment in this stage, the Ministry of Education opens registration in government and private kindergartens.
The Ministry of Education announced the opening of registration for UAE children in government and private kindergartens for the next school year 2017/2018 as of next Sunday until February 9th.
H.E Jameela Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education, confirmed that the proactive step made by the Ministry, to open registration in kindergartens at an earlier time, is a result of its commitment towards achievement of the goals stipulated under the national agenda, relating to the rate of enrolment in kindergartens, and the directives of H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid
Al Maktoum,Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, to accomplish government accelerators. She mentioned that the Ministry developed a comprehensive plan to expedite the progress process, to achieve the State’s indicators and objectives in line with its agenda and vision for 2021, and to reach the required enrolment rates in kindergartens within 90 days.
Her Excellency called upon parents to register their children in kindergartens due to the importance of this stage in building the child’s personality and acquiring him with life skills and basic knowledge, which will subsequently enable him to develop his talent and mental potential, preparing children in an appropriate educational manner that contributes to their ability in competently keeping pace with advanced study stages, in line with the applicable modern educational methods, and familiarizes them with school community and the ability to intermingle in general, which ultimately refines the child’s personality, and attains the attributes of the Emirati student.
She said that the Ministry of Education intensified its efforts and developed a thorough work plan, focusing on raising awareness on the importance of registering UAE children in kindergartens. The Ministry also worked on encouraging UAE parents to register their children early in government and private kindergartens, within the specified registration period, to achieve the desired educational objectives.
She stressed that education is a community matter, which requires concerted efforts and participation in the national campaign for early registration in kindergartens, in order to increase the rate of UAE children in both government and private kindergartens in the country, in order to achieve the special goal within the national agenda related to enrolment rate in kindergartens in the country.
Her Excellency explained that the Ministry will focus on several steps to raise awareness in the community and highlight to parents the important role of kindergartens and the need to avoid neglecting the stage of early childhood, which reflects on the quality of children’s lives in the future, indicating that this has a positive impact on the results of students associated with international tests and increases their competitiveness, with emphasis on the skills learned during kindergarten.
