In cooperation with Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has allocated fully-funded mathematics, statistics and chemistry grants for the Teachers of the Future project. MOE affirmed that teachers flocked to schools to inquire about the grant in an act of highly valuing the MOE’s constructive initiatives which support and direct the students to the vital fields demanded by the labor market and provide them with the opportunity to complete their university studies free of charge with covering all their requirements and needs.
The MOE stated that the grant targets the graduation of a new batch of highly effective teachers to educate the coming generation in the state schools, describing the preparation of efficient teachers as one of MOE’s priorities.
Scholarships directed to UAE students and Arab residents enable them to have the bachelor degree in applied mathematics and statistics to take charge of teaching in the future. The MOE provides them with the academic and professional support, social service and training opportunities during their university study and allow them to work with the MOE after graduation.
The MOE called upon the students who are excellent in mathematics, statistics and chemistry, and who have a passion for development, to consider quick participation in the Teachers of the Future grant launched by the MOE in collaboration with the University of Khalifa under the conditions stated starting from today. The MOE highlighted that the Teachers of the Future grant gives the granted several privileges, including the coverage of study expenses and the priority of employment in the MOE.
The MOE called upon those who wish to apply for the grant to visit this website: www.kuslar.ae. As for the Arab students’ admission conditions, the applicant should have an Arab nationality and should be a UAE resident during the last three years at least. The applicant should be under 20 and must have secondary stage certificate or the equivalent with 90% for not more than one year. The applicant must have IELTS band 6 and must be dedicated to studying full-time basis.
The MOE pointed out to that the University of Khalifa will independently take charge of the application and selection to ensure that the candidates meet the admission conditions. Citizens may apply via NAPO and Non-citizens may apply to the University of Khalifa.
The teaching and administrative staffs believe that the “Teachers of the Future” will contribute to attracting large number of students to mathematics and statistics. Both genres witness low demand by the secondary school graduates in the various UAE universities. Moreover, the program will contribute to offering jobs in the MOE.
