Dear teacher, please partake in achieving " The Emeriti School Model: A Sustainable System of Learning and Knowledge Dissemination"
The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) leadership has a unique vision in preparing for the country’s future. This foresight is driven by the continuous changes in science, technology, communications and the fourth industrial revolution and its implications in the world of business and finance. The UAE Vision 2021 seeks the well-being and sustainable development of its citizens by 2021. As such, national efforts and actions are unified and directed towards building a competitive knowledge-based economy and a high-level educational system that guarantees its citizens a decent future and preserves the UAE’s legacy of incorporating tradition with modernity, left by our Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed and those who worked tirelessly with him to build a nation of schools, universities and hospitals.
As part of the efforts and initiatives of the Ministry of Education and its responsibilities, access to a high-level educational system is based on three pillars: the
first is a teacher, who is qualified, an initiator, and up-to-date with the progressive changes in technology, and is keen to continuously develop his/her knowledge and skills; the
second is a school, which its principal is a leader keen in evolving its teachers, students and assist the Ministry of Education in its development initiatives, and opens the school for parents and its community; and the
third is a local community that is conscious and supportive of teachers, the school, as well as the Ministry of Education, and feels collectively responsible for the care of its sons and daughters.
Technology and means of knowledge production have supported teachers and students of the fourth industrial revolution and achieved access to quality learning resources regardless of time, place and language. Distinguished teachers, who have mastered their materials and understood academic growth have been able to disseminate their produced educational content not only to their students, but to their peers in different parts of the world. This survey targets teachers in the Emeriti school and private schools in UAE, where the Ministry of Education aims at:
1.
Identifying the skills and abilities of teachers in the field in producing of educational e-content.
2.
Exploring the projects and initiatives run by teachers to produce educational e-content.
3.
Examining the needs for training teachers, the tools and the support they need to be able to produce, publish and exchange educational e-content.
The information collected from the teachers' answers to this survey will help the Ministry of Education identify creative and innovative teachers and support them in all possible and appropriate ways to improve the quality of their educational e-content
and disseminate it to their colleagues inside and outside the country.
This survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete. Thank you for your time, objectivity and accuracy in answering the survey questions.
