Academic Calendar for the Academic Year 2025–2026

The Academic Calendar for the 2025–2026 school year outlines the schedule for all public schools and private schools following the Ministry of Education curriculum. It serves as a primary reference for academic and operational planning across the UAE's education system.

The calendar provides clear timelines for the beginning and end of terms, school breaks, exam periods, and national holidays. It was developed in alignment with the directives of the UAE Cabinet and in coordination with local educational authorities, offering a consistent and organized framework to support school administrators and parents in preparing for the academic year in advance.

Key Dates:

• Start of the academic year: 25 August 2025
• Winter break: 8 December 2025 to 3 January 2026
• Spring break: 16 March to 29 March 2026
• End of the academic year: 3 July 2026

This calendar applies to all public schools and private schools implementing the MOE curriculum. Private schools that do not follow the MOE curriculum may introduce mid-term breaks in October and February only, provided that each break does not exceed five consecutive days and remains within the defined timeframe. These adjustments are permitted to meet operational needs without conflicting with the national academic calendar.
