Key dates in the 2026-2027 Academic Year
- Start date: 31 August 2026
- Winter break: 14 December 2026 – 1 January 2027
- Spring break: 5-9 April 2027
- End date: 2 July 2027
The calendar applies to all public schools and to private schools following the Ministry curriculum. Other private schools may adjust mid-term breaks in October and/or February following local education entity approval, with up to five days’ variation based on their operational needs, with the exception of schools in Sharjah, where specific rules apply.
