Minister of Education: The UAE is proactive in supporting priorities and building partnerships internationally to sustain the development of education

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education confirmed that the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is a forerunner in supporting priorities and solidarity action, and strengthening efforts by building constructive partnerships internationally to achieve the sustainability of education, face challenges and share success stories to develop the educational systems, and support common aspirations that contribute to the prosperity and well-being of the people and societies.

 

His Excellency participated in the joint meeting of ministers of education, within the G-20 summit hosted by the Republic of Indonesia, where the meetings discussed strategies for developing the quality of global education, digital technologies, international solidarity and cooperation, partnerships, and the future of education after the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the support of the UAE leadership for international efforts in facing global challenges, which are in line with the UAE Centennial 2071, to chart UAE’s next fifty years, in preparing the future generations with future skills for a world leading knowledgeable society.  

 

Highlighting that the summit of the twenty through its valuable consultations, discussions, and agenda, hopefully will be a model for everyone to motivate their steps towards solidarity and partnerships and to serve as a roadmap that will guide the world to achieve future visions and sustainable education to ensure a better future for the next generations.

 

His Excellency said: “The UAE emphasizes the need to recover together and stronger after the pandemic, and to reimagine and rebuild a more inclusive and equitable education system by prioritizing the 4 main educational issues highlighted by the Indonesia Presidency, which will in turn serve to benefit the 4th sustainable goal focused on quality education”.

His excellency added that The UAE do have a wealth of experience and Know-How, which can be shared with all G20 members to promote rebuilding together. Sharing the UAE’s best practices and the UAE’s 2071 Road Map are reinforcing Solidarity and Partnerships that work as a core of the G20 Educational Ministers Declaration.

 

Stressing that the Education Working Group pillars will pave the way for optimal outcomes in the upcoming Transformation Education Summit. As such the UAE remains very supportive of the working group deliverables – the g20 education report and compendium and hopes that the further UAE suggested edits and inclusions will by fully considered. 

He explained that the participation of the UAE, represented by the Ministry of Education, is an opportunity to highlight its main position in supporting international efforts for stability, global peace and development, by highlighting the global technologies in education, and its focus on the e-maturity framework that confirms the readiness of the learning system. In addition to share the best practices represented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning Program, and the achievements made by the Ministry to facilitate the learning process and virtual practical training, and modern curricula, and to provide educational paths with wide options in line with the requirements of the future labor market.
