Higher Education funded the first global study of its kind (taste -depresison relationship)

Funded by the National Research Foundation at the Ministry of higher education, the first global study of its kind in the world on a gastronomic illness of depression in the GCC, conducted by a team of researchers at Zayed University as part of a project of three studies sponsored by the Foundation.
 
Indicator:
The study addresses new innovative uses for the taste of sense as an indicator of the
Vulnerability to depression through researching particularly in the relationship between
Gastronomic and sensitivity to anhedonia as one of the main symptoms of the function of this disease and other problems related to mental health. Dr Justin Thomas, Assistant Professor at Zayed University leader of the research group that this study is the world's first study to discover this link between the two cases in people with Depression in the GCC countries, adding that the findings are the basis for two scientific papers that will be released in two periodical scientific recognized publications.
 
Explanation
The second study focused on discovering and investigating two theories that has the effect in understanding and interpreting disease and mental attitudes theory and imbalances theory "Becky" the most common about the knowledge imbalance, adding that the whole project aims to explore approaches and innovative approaches to understand symptoms of depression and weaknesses of Knowledge, which is a psychological risk factors.
