Dr. Saeed Al-Hassani, Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said that the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates always cares for achieving welfare and best standard living for the people of UAE, indicating that the budget of the next three years was approved according to the principles of the zero-based budgeting thanks to the wise vision of the UAE Government which provides the opportunity to all federal authorities so as to perform the future projects in accordance with a specific timetable and accurate plans. He added that this will be positively reflected on the quality of those projects and the achievement of contemplated targets.

“The higher education and academic sector together with the general education always have sufficient portion of the federal budget which is annually set. The UAE leadership always confirms that the care for education and preparation of national skillful cadres, who are qualified according to the highest international standards, is the best way to the progress and renaissance of our country”, he added.
“The zero-based budgeting together with its included expenditures will assist federal agencies to conduct an accurate and proactive planning for the projects which cover different sectors, and it will contribute to setting a specific timetable to be abided by those agencies in order to bring their projects into light.”, he added.

“The higher education sector, led by H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed a remarkable development, by improving the performance of the governmental universities and colleges and provision of state-of-the-art academic systems and study programs , that cope up with similar systems and programs in international universities“, he clarified.
“Private universities have also witnessed a remarkable improvement over the last years, as many distinguished establishments were established with a view to apply advanced academic programs, as well as educational programs in cooperation with several international universities, something which made them the magnet of numerous categories of national students“, he added.

“The wise leadership of UAE paid a great attention to mission students to study abroad, as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen to send hundreds of students in missions to the most outstanding international universities in order to gain required skills and qualifications which enable them to join the labor market in the UAE, eventually reflecting positively on the improvement of operation in all sectors” he resumed.
“The application of zero-based budgeting concept in the country’s next three years budget will have positive impacts on the projects carried out in different sectors in the United Arab Emirates. This will also contribute to the creation of a distinguished work environment based on accurate and proactive planning of different projects which eventually enhance continual development in all sectors in the United Arab Emirates”, Al-Hassani concluded.
