Under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, President of Zayed University, Zayed University is hosting the National Academic Advising Association, NACADA, Conference for the first time in the UAE, under the theme "Aspire, Connect and Empower", during the period of (22-25) February, 2016, with the participation of representatives from 13 countries, in order to promote and support academic advising quality in higher education institutions. The Conference includes more than 80 concurrent sessions, in which participants will exchange their experiences on the best practices and the latest strategies, programs, and research related to engaging students in academic advising. Bryan Gilroy, the Conference Chair and Assistant Provost of Zayed University, said: "The four-day Conference will be an arena for sharing scientific research that clarifies the best practices, as well as strategies and programs that engage students, and communicate with leading practitioners in the field of academic advising". It is noteworthy that «NACADA» is a non-profit global gathering for those engaged in the field of academic advising in various sectors, based in Kansas State University in the US.
