Why are UAE students seekinto study abroad?

Emirati students revealed through the social networking pages of the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research the real reasons that motivate them to complete their undergraduate or graduate studies outside the UAE. The main reason was due to the unavailability of certain majors in UAE universities.

While others said, that studying abroad will benefit the students in acquiring  different skills, and enables them to learn about new cultures of the countries of the world, as well as finding pleasure and pride in representing their country in those States.

"Hussein Abdul Rahman" said that students are seeking to study abroad because certain majors required in UAE labor market, such as math, science are not available. As well as from his point of view, universities lack established libraries, which contain original scientific research with specialties and an archival system. "Abdul Rahman" also pointed to the benefits of travel, as it teaches the student patience and self-reliance.

"Ahmad Helmi" finds that some students want to study abroad to gain experience and be proficient in their fields, while others are just trying to flaunt and boast having a certificate from abroad.

And "Aboud Al Khayili" sees that studying abroad helps to obtain a degree that can serve society, in addition to acquiring lifestyle changes.

While "Yasser Bani Hammad, who is studying abroad, finds in addition to all of the things mentioned by his colleagues that students studying abroad can develop social skills and connect with people, and that the high level of distinguished universities abroad in terms of education and training. He added that he doesn't mean to be critical of UAE Universities, which he considered advanced and parallel world universities. 

"Dina Al Dakheel" said that studying abroad offers better job opportunities after graduation.
