Upon the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the UAE Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London organized the Medical Forum for UAE Scholarship Students in Ireland, on Saturday, October 3rd, in the presence and participation of many government and semi-government authorities and institutions specialized in the field of medicine and health sciences, and those interested in supplying the health sector with the best Emirati talents.
The Attaché’s organization of this medical forum aims to deepen the idea of linking students during their undergraduate and postgraduate studies to the work environment in the State before graduation, and to identify the nature of the labor market and the tracks and professional disciplines required in the health area in the State, and that contributes to the Emiratization of medical specialties, and becoming familiar with the nature of problems and obstacles they may face in their careers after graduation. The Forum aims to consolidate and enhance the Emiratization plans of the various authorities and institutions involved, which significantly contributes to preparing the students to be more adapted to the working conditions and environment in the State after graduation, by giving them the opportunity to get to know the jobs suitable for them before the date of their graduation through providing information and support regarding their choices. The Medical Forum is an opportunity to exchange experiences and views and learn about the latest research, studies, and scientific and technical developments in order to develop work in the medical field, as well as give participants the opportunity to interact directly with the students, honor the scientifically outstanding ones, and develop appropriate training proposals during student vacations similar to their colleagues studying in the State, which enhances cooperation between the universities outside the State and the medical institutions in the State in the health field. The Medical Forum recommended to hold it annually in Ireland and expanding participation of authorities in it, in order to provide training and employment opportunities, and provide training opportunities for medical students during their vacation, and it stressed the importance of linking students to the labor market in the UAE to provide job opportunities for them after graduation.
