The UAE has recently participated in a training workshop on education in the field of water, which is part of the activities of underground water and hydrology of valleys networks.
The workshop was held in the Jordanian capital "Amman", in the framework of continuous cooperation between the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and UNESCO Office in Cairo. The workshop, which was marked by the participation of Queen Rania Teacher Academy, aims to discuss and amend the initial draft of the general guide in the field of water in the Arab world, train curriculum specialists on the general guide for teachers in the field of water, and set the initial conception of an action plan for the circulation of the guide, in preparation for its inclusion in the curriculum as an educational tool. In addition to the UAE, Egypt, Tunisia, Oman, Lebanon, Sudan, and Jordan participated in the workshop. In this context, it was agreed to conduct a preliminary test on the models contained in the guide at the national level, and provide the UNESCO Office in Cairo with the results in order to make appropriate amendments to them with a timetable for this purpose.
