A study issued on
Thursday, found that the UAE is one of the leading Arab countries that began
the shift to tablet education in universities, and is preparing to disseminate
the experience into schools.
The study released in
Dubai by a media company specialized in e-learning applications, said that Gulf
States spend about (60) billion Dollars on school and university education.
The study showed
that the Gulf States are moving toward electronic education, taking advantage
of tablets and Smartphones.
The Chief Executive of
the company said “the downside of electronic applications used in Arab
countries is that it is manufactured in Western countries, some content is not compatible
with the Arabic culture”.
He stressed the need
to produce applications for tablets directed to the Arab child in his language
and culture, which helps in modern education plans. The study said that the
time had come for the Arabic market to begin creating high-quality materials, which encourages introducing
the West to the Arab culture.
