UAE embassy continues evacuation programme for Emirati citizens in Egypt
Under the directives of Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed
Al Nahyan, the UAE embassy in Cairo is closely monitoring evacuation of
Emirati citizens wishing to leave Egypt, said the UAE Ambassador to
Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Mohammed bin
Nakhira Al Dhaheri.
Al Dhaheri said three teams from the embassy were assigned to oversee
operations by national carriers, including Etihad Airways, Emirates
Airlines, Air Arabia, flydubai and Ras Al Khaimah Air, to transport
Emirati citizens who want to leave Egypt.
He added that 57 citizens left back home since Saturday and others were
checked into a Cairo hotel, pending their travel to the UAE.
