The Fifth International Conference on Mathematical Sciences (ICM 2016) will kick off on Sunday, March 20th, 2016, organized by the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UAE University, during the period (21st-24th) of March 2016, with the participation of scientists and researchers in the field of mathematics, from 50 countries, in addition to faculty and researchers in local universities. Dr. Ahmed Murad, Dean of the College of Science said: "the Fifth Conference comes in a new form focusing on scientific applications for mathematics, to understand and find solutions related to public health and communications safety, in addition to discussing the latest mathematical findings in applications, and the role of mathematics in community health and treatment of chronic diseases, with the participation of nearly 200 mathematics scholar in the various disciplines of mathematics". Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Hammadi, Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, pointed out that the Conference will address the contribution of mathematics in manufacturing some drugs used in chemotherapy for cancer, and will also discuss how to reduce the spread of infectious diseases, by controlling the factors that lead to rapid spread, through the study of mathematical models that represent such proliferation, one of the most important factors that will be examined is the internal immune system of the human body, in this context, the Conference will host international mathematicians to talk about the role of mathematics in particular the science of numerical analysis in understanding the composition and dynamic and different control methods on the immune system in the human body. One of the important axes in the Conference, introducing the "encoding system", which is an indispensable part of modern communication security, along with the role of mathematics in investment portfolio management in financial markets and how to avoid risk, as well as the various branches of mathematical topics such as; numbers theory, abstract algebra and real and numerical analysis, which comes in line with the vision of the University in the development of research capabilities in the areas of interest, and building partnerships with research centers, organizations and companies regionally and internationally to share experiences, expertise and achieve scientific integration. It will also address the many developments in pure mathematics such as Algebra, Topology and real analysis, keynote speakers at this Conference are; Distinguished Professor Dr. Garven Martin (Topology and Genetics) from New Zealand, and Professor Jean Renault (Mathematical Analysis) from France, and Dr. Stephaan Caenbepeel (Cryptography and Coding Theory) from Belgium, and Dr. Aziz Alaoui (Mathematics) from France.
