Page Content

Exclusive – The UAE Embassy Cultural Attaché in Cairo, Dr. Fatma Salem Al-Ameri, confirmed that UAE national students in the Egyptian Arab Republic are all okay in light of current political and social unrest.

In an exclusive with the website management of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday, Al-Ameri stated that the Cultural Attaché has taken many steps, as part of their responsibility and upon Embassy instructions, to evacuate students to the State.

Al-Ameri explained that the Cultural Attaché provided the Embassy operations room, daily rosters of the names of all full-time students with different residency requirements at various stages of study. Messages were sent to students via their mobile phones as well as e-mails stipulating vigilance and continuous communication with the mission in case further developments warrant additional steps. Al-Ameri explained that only eight UAE nationals remain within the Egyptian Arab Republic for personal circumstances.
