His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Al Mazrouei, UAE Cultural Advisor in the United Kingdom, participated in the joint workshop on the British universities evaluation systems, as part of the joint work policy of the Cultural Attaches and Gulf Cooperation Council offices in London. The workshop, which was organized at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, focused on the study of the British universities evaluation systems, and discussed frameworks appropriate to review the university’s level and academic programs, where Dr. Fawzan Al Fares, Head of the Kuwait Cultural Office, presented a mechanism of work that the Office is working on to develop an internal system to be relied upon in evaluation of universities and programs, and in the adoption of acceptance letters obtained by the students before college entry, which determines the extent of certificate recognition after graduation, and the academic level of this certificate. The participants discussed a number of models for periodic evaluation reports issued by a number of official and semi-official bodies locally and internationally, and conducted a comparison between the results of those reports in order to determine the best, in terms of evaluation criteria and actual results. At the end of the workshop, the attendees agreed on a number of recommendations, which will be discussed at the next periodic meetings, aimed at exchanging experiences and joint coordination, in order to serve the people of the GCC countries enrolled in the UK universities.
