The world will witness a rare partial solar eclipse on Sunday

Page Content

The world will experience a rare partial solar eclipse called partial eclipse mix on Sunday November the 3rd, the Arab region will see this Eclipse as a partial eclipse, the Sun will set eclipsed in eastern parts of the Arab world, such as the Gulf States, Iraq and most of the Levant region, while the eclipse will begin and end before sunset in other Arab countries.

The head of the “Islamic Crescent Observation Project” engineer “Mohammed Shaukat  Audeh” stated that the areas where the eclipse will be seen as a total solar eclipse are located in a narrow strip a few kilometers long, starting from the North “Atlantic" to “Central Africa” and ending at the Somali border. Annular Eclipse will begin and will remain so for (15) seconds, then quickly turn to total Eclipse.

“Audeh” warned the "return" of looking directly towards the Sun at the time of the Eclipse, which leads to damage to the eye to the degree of permanent blindness, and to safely watch the Eclipse using special sunglasses. The "UAE Astronomy Association" will organize monitoring for those interested to watch the Eclipse on Sunday in the "Kaser Al Amwaj" area.
