Dr. “Hanan Malkawi” jury member in the for “L’Oreal–UNESCO Pan
Arab Regional Fellowships for Women in Science 2013”, said that the papers
presented to the program were subject to strict international standards and
specifications, taking into account transparency, objectivity and credibility. “Malkawi”
added that the Arab world is full of great models for women researcher
scientists in all fields and
despite the support this program from both )UNESCO( and the "L'Oreal
Foundation", we look forward to a
similar Award from Arab States, organizations and bodies, in supporting and
empowering women researchers in the Arab world, since Arab women find and
strive and persevere to participate in building the nation and its renaissance,
they deserve support and empowerment.
Meanwhile, Dr.“Hossam
Al Ulama” Director of the “National Research Foundation” in the “Ministry of Higher Education and
Scientific Research”, stressed that the Ministry's support for the award came
from the premise in not only to support the academic universities, institutes
and Government and private educational institutions, but beyond to backup its
leadership in supporting sustainable development in the State and the Arab
world too, the Ministry believes that its task does not stop at supporting the
educational process, but also working with local and international
organizations, and to support efforts to develop scientific research and push the
capabilities to achieve creativity and innovation.
