His Highness Sheikh “Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan” renewed the "United Arab Emirate's" continued solidarity with the Palestinian people to fully realize their inalienable rights, including the declaration of an independent and viable Palestinian state with “Al Quds Al Sharif” as its capital. This was conveyed in a letter on the occasion of the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, celebrated by the "United Nations Secretariat" at its Headquarters in "New York" on Sunday (24/11/2013) which the "United Nations General Assembly" called for the annual observance of (29th) November on that day adopted the resolution for the termination of the British mandate and partition of "Palestine" into three areas to end the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The UAE spares no effort in providing support to the Palestinian people to help them to overcome the difficult conditions to fully restore their national rights in their land and establish an independent State. In the report of the foreign aid for 2012 of the “Ministry of Development and International Cooperation”, it was pointed out that the UAE donors provided about half a billion Dirhams for the implementation of development, humanitarian and charitable projects in the Palestinian territories over the past year, an increase of four times over the year 2011 and an increase of (40%) over 2010, in the belief of the Emirati people, individuals, organizations, associations and companies in support of the Palestinian people.

The “Consulate General of the State of Palestine” in the State entered into agreements and grants to gifted and needy Palestinian students with private universities in “Dubai” and the Northern Emirates, amounting to approximately eight million Dirhams. The primary education sector by supporting students received great interest from "Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation" and "Dar Al Ber Society". The "Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation" continued its support for "Sheikh Khalifa School” in “Gaza”, where assistance was provided by the value of (2,200,000) Dirhams, with support for social welfare, medical and charitable projects.

(315,100,000) Dirhams have been allocated to support the operational activities of the Government of the Palestinian Authority and submitted by the “Department of Finance in Abu Dhabi”, the “Abu Dhabi Fund for Development " contributed by paying (18,400,000) Dirhams as a prior commitment for road construction and infrastructure development for water and electric power.

The “Emirati Red Crescent Authority” implemented multiple projects in “Palestine” with a value of about (900) million Dirhams, and that reconstruction projects included the construction of many housing units and camps, and the establishment of “Sheikha Fatima Secondary School for Girls” in East farm in “Ramallah”, and construction of the housing project near the reconstruction and restoration of the “Al-Aqsa Mosque” and religious sanctities project.

The Authority implemented the "Support the disabled Palestinian project”, to improve their economic and living conditions, in the area of guardian of an orphan, the current number of orphans who sponsored by the Authority is (9,279) orphans, in addition to cash assistance provided by Authority in the humanitarian, charitable and social areas.

Support the Palestinian people reflects the established principle in foreign policy of the UAE stemming from the value of human solidarity in relations with Arab, Islamic and developing countries in general and translated in many charitable and humanitarian initiatives, which makes the UAE a symbol in honorable and humanitarian work.
