In the framework of
coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
and the Abu Dhabi Education Council, the two sides signed on Monday 12/6/2014 a
cooperation agreement to regulate the management of students studying abroad,
which was signed by Dr. Saeed Hamad Al-Hassani, Undersecretary of the Ministry,
and Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the higher education
sector, in the presence of Mrs. Mona Al Mansouri, Division Manager of Guidance
and Scholarships and members of the Council.
According to this
agreement the Ministry, through the Attachés and cultural offices abroad, will
provide academic supervision and financial and administrative support to the
Council's (193) scholars.
At the end of the
signing, the two sides stressed the importance of continued coordination for the
benefit of student scholars and the public interest, and also for the benefit
to the development of the State in all fields through the rehabilitation and
training of the human element of the citizens.

Council, said that the signing of the agreement comes from the Council's
keenness on enhancing ties of joint cooperation with government agencies and in
particular the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through
the provision of public facilities and services for our students studying
abroad and to help them continue their education easily, and provide support
and assistance all throughout the scholarship to prepare qualified national
cadres which pushes the development process in the State.
