
Under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Fourth International Conference for Arabic Language is launched in Dubai on Wednesday May 6th 2015, it will run for five days, and attended by 2,300 personalities from 74 countries.
Two major sessions will be held in the Conference, the first is entitled: «Arabic language and diplomacy "and the second is entitled: «Arabic language and the rules and regulations», and 120 scientific seminars will be held in which 721 researches, studies and work papers will be discussed which have been approved from a total of 1400 researches and work papers sent to the Conference, where they were printed in 12 books that will be distributed to the participants. More than 925 personalities will be speaking at the Conference within the meetings and seminars of multiple titles, topics and issues. Dr. Ali Abdullah Moussa, Secretary General of the International Council for Arabic Language, stressed that the Conference is a forum for all those interested in the Arabic language from different disciplines and professions, and focuses on specialized issues and topics, in addition to topics dealing with Arabic language's relationship to the sovereignty, independence, national unity, community building, and preparing a good citizen, connecting the next generations with maxims and their references and the values and principles which are based on the Arabic language. He added that the Conference deals with issues related to language and its role in creativity, innovation, sustainable development, investment in knowledge and technology, promoting security and national unity, and promoting Arab and international solidarity and cultural exchange, given the importance of language in the life of an individual, society and the State. A research financial reward will be presented at the closing session of the Conference to the distinguished researches, for the efforts of researchers and to encourage them to continue to presenting research in the Arabic language, which address its various issues and topics, and contribute to its dissemination in modern ways and means. During the event, the General Conference of the International Council of the Arabic language will be held, which includes in its agenda the adoption of its member organizations, the adoption of the organizational structure of the Council and the election of the Board of Directors, to ensure partnership with all Government, private institutions and civil society organizations concerned with serving the Arabic language on the national, international and Arab levels.
