The Federation of
the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) of the Islamic Educational,
Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) announced the start of nomination
for the annual Prize on the theme: (Terrorism – Today’s Plague: Causes and
Intellectual and Practical Solutions). Nominations and submissions, fulfilling
eligibility criteria, should be received no later than 31st of
August 2015.
This comes in the
context of FUIW’s efforts to stimulate scientific research in all fields and
adjust it to meet development requirements for the Muslim world, and to
encourage scientists and researchers in universities and members of FUIW to
highlight their efforts.
This year’s Prize,
which is launched jointly by FUIW and Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic
University, is divided into two categories: one for the most active researcher
on the Prize’s topic, and the other for the best research work on the Prize’s
topic.
The Federation
requires that the nomination for the Prize be in Arabic, English, or French from
the Federation’s member universities and scientific institutions, and that the research
works be original, distinct, and never published before, and that the formal
nomination by the presidency of the university should include the name of the
candidate, their full address in the field of the Prize, justifications for their
nomination, and a full statement of their achievements.
Nominations,
researches, and requested information are required to be sent by August 31st,
