Smart Living City (Dubai 2014) with the participation of universities on the 15th of this month

Smart Living City (Dubai 2014) exhibition will be launched on September 15th for two days, in Dubai, UAE, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and with the participation of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of technology and Microsoft, in addition to start-up companies, investors, companies and institutions, including the Government of Dubai.

The aim of the Conference is to offer and provide the latest ideas and techniques to improve the standard of living in Dubai and around the world, adopting a policy of full transformation to Dubai Smart City, in embodiment of the determination of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to shift to the smart Government for reaching the target, which is happy customers to facilitate their dealings through relying on cooperation between ministries, bodies and institutions, federally and locally.

Reflecting the shift to a smart Government the State introduced new segments and new titles for citizens as of this year, that contain new standards, in line with the orientations of the Government to shift to a smart Government, to achieve this, the formation of specialized committees at the Ministry of the Presidential Affairs and the National Qualifications Authority, Ministry of Labor, and Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, The Ministry of Presidential Affairs developed within the initiative (ABSHER), in cooperation with the National Qualifications Authority, a comprehensive guide to posts in public and private institutions at the State level, commensurate with the UAE Vision 2021, and targeting the training and educational agencies in the State in the public and private sectors, to develop appropriate programs for students and graduates to pursue a particular career path after selecting it as their first choice, and the jobs available to them.

The first day of this event will have the main discussion session entitled "Big Data and Smart Government Solutions" to highlight the real opportunities resulting from the transition to a model "Smart City", as well as the major developments and challenges alongside it, and it will have its share of keynote speakers, as well as explore the vision of "The Smart City" through seminars, exhibits, interactive workshops and master classes.
