provide research studies as a reference for the students through their
development of green solutions.
The students will be
supervised by experts in this challenge, and will be supported and followed up by
a group of professionals in the field of sustainable environment in the UAE, and
the winning team will receive a prize worth 5000 US Dollars, in order to put their
solutions into practice at the American Community School in Abu Dhabi.
The students will go
through the challenge of coming up with solutions applicable at schools, based
on the environmental and health standards, which provide an environment that
encourages education, and at the same time, saves energy, natural resources,
and costs.
Myung-In Sohn,
Director of Sila Connection 2014, said "We are reaching out on a personal
level. Partnering with the American Community School in Abu Dhabi allows us to
contextualize this year's conference focus subject “green schools”, and
provides our delegates with a sense of grounding to develop even more
sophisticated solutions".
