The (ISESCO and UNESCO camp of excellence for young girls in science) was recently opened at the headquarters of the International University of Rabat in Morocco, which was organized in collaboration between the University and the eSTEM Morocco (environmental Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) (Morocco), the camp will run until Sunday 6th of September 2015.
Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of ISESCO, said that the camp emphasizes the contribution of the beneficiary States in building a world more aware of the status of girls in the science sector which increasingly fosters a secure life and preserves human health, this support contributes to the reduction of poverty in women which still festers among women in Islamic countries, and has become a major impediment to comprehensive sustainable development. Altwaijri expressed in his speech at the opening of the camp hope that discussions on strengthening the capacity of the participating girls, and to raise their scientific ambition, so as to enhance their confidence in their potential and abilities and awareness of their rights in achievement and excellence, and excellence in their work field. And he saluted the girls students whom he described as the future flowers and their entrepreneurship, wishing the scientific camp success in achieving its objectives.
