The College of Arabic Language And Social Studies in Qassim University in Saudi Arabia, organizes on Thursday 3rd of March 2016, the International Conference "Arabic language in universities between heritage and modernity", to study the reality of the Arabic language in all its linguistic, literary and rhetorical types in Arab universities, the terms and the approach, and its relationship with other sciences, through showing the impact of the curriculum on the content in Arabic language and literature in universities, and identifying recent trends in the Arabic language, identifying the key issues affecting the Arabic language at the university stages, in addition to the Arabic language’s impact in other colleges through the Arabic language courses in it, and the effect of learning Arabic language skills in understanding science. The Conference will also seek to highlight the scientific efforts of the ancients in the Arabic language, and modern additions, and to offer a reading of the grammar and rhetorical heritage and a contemporary reading, to identify the main problems facing the university professor in the Arabic language curriculum in universities, the exchange of experiences and successful work experiences of university professors, and to identify the quality of programs that contribute to the development of Arabic language curricula and its teachings in universities. The research papers are concentrated around four themes, the last date for acceptance of abstracts is by June 30, 2015, including issues of terminology and notation in Arabic language and literature, overlapping disciplines, the relationship of Arabic language with other Sciences, it is announced that acceptance of abstracts on 31st of July 2015, while the deadline for receipt of researches is 31st of October 2015, the announcement of acceptance on 12th of December 2015.
