Nahyan receives GCC Ministers of Education and a Chinese University Chancellor

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received at his palace yesterday H.E. Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman and GCC Ministers of Education who participated in the 21st two-day Session of the GCC Arab Education Office in Abu Dhabi.

In the meeting, there were present H.E. Abdulrahman Hamad Al-Attiya, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), H.H. Humaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education, Dr. Ali Abdulkhaliq Al Qarni, Director of the GCC Arab Education Office, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, a number of honored ex-ministers and some directors of educational zones in the country.
 
 
 
During the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak discussed education improvement efforts in the GCC and coordination for upgrade of the educational system through mechanisms that enhance exchange of ongoing educational and academic experiences and projects between the GCC countries.
Dr. Ali Abdulkhaliq Al Qarni made a panorama on the programs and activities of the GCC Arab Education Office, particularly those targeting development of curricula and academic environment, and the Office’s efforts to enhance technology application in education. The Minister held a luncheon for the guests.
 
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan received at his palace yesterday Professor Zhang Ji, Chancellor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and his delegation, currently on a visit to the country.
The meeting focused on potential relations between the University and governmental higher education institutions in all fields. H.E. Sheikh Nahyan pointed out that the Ministry is ready for complete cooperation with the Chinese university.
