Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority",
)NCEMA(,held on Tuesday a joint
coordination meeting with the Ministries of Interior, Education, Health, the “Abu
Dhabi Education Council” and the “UAE University” to develop an emergency plan
for the education sector in order to raise its readiness to face emergencies
and crises that may be encountered.
The meeting, held at
the headquarters of the authority in “Abu Dhabi”, was organized to enhance and
define the roles and responsibilities of emergencies of the educational sector
of students, faculty and employees, in cooperation with the concerned
During the meeting,
the parties agreed on the necessity of activating training and exercises in the
education sector in practical exercises for emergencies and crises on the local
and national levels.
It was also agreed
on the need to update the data for the educational sector on a regular basis by
the concerned authorities in this sector and to set up the mechanisms for
awareness among school students and employees in the field of education to
promote a culture of dealing with emergencies and crises in various aspects of
the educational sector.
