The College of Arts
and Social Sciences of Sultan Qaboos University in Oman announced that the
deadline for receiving research abstracts for the "Interrelations of
Social Sciences and Other Sciences: Experiences and Aspirations" Conference
is February 15th, 2015. The College organizes this 3rd international
Conference from the (15th -17th ) of December, 2015, in
an effort to highlight the importance of interrelations of social sciences and
other sciences, clarify the aspects of agreement and disagreement, and derive
principles that control the relationships between them in light of
compatibility and integration between the scientific, educational, professional,
and applied aspects, in order to develop
programs, plans, and strategies to achieve the sustainable development.
The Conference will
attract keynote speakers who have a clear impact on the study of the
relationship between the social sciences and other sciences. It also brings
researchers and academics from a variety of scientific disciplines to examine
and discuss the aspects of the complementary nature of social sciences and
other sciences.
The Conference aims
to examine the philosophical framework for the classification of sciences and their
interrelationship, monitor the reality of interrelations of social sciences and
other sciences, and present contemporary experiences of the interrelationships of
social sciences and other sciences and their evaluation, and future scenarios
for the development of in-between educational and research programs will be
provided.
The Conference will
discuss a number of topics, most notably, the interrelationships and
theoretical foundations for the classification of science, the reality of interrelations
of social sciences and other sciences, the axis of local, Arab, and
international contemporary experiences in intra studies, the axis of the future
of interrelationships and their impact on education and scientific research, the
role of educational institutions in supporting these relationships and the strategy for designing and developing
their own programs, and their relationship with the quality of education and
the future of the labor market.
