
A Monash University delegation recently visited the headquarters of the Cultural Attaché in Canberra, and met with the Cultural Attaché Ms. Rodah Al Moansoori.
The delegation consisted of Dr. Nizar Bashir Farjou, Assistant Director of the Bureau for Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia Relations of the Office of the Chancellor, and Dr. Sarah Newton, Deputy Dean for External Relations at the Faculty of Medicine at the University. The delegation provided a visual presentation on the activities of the University in the UAE, and future plans for the University in the UAE, the delegation also discussed possible future cooperation between the University and the State in the fields of education and scientific research.
Al Moansoori commended the role of Monash University in scientific research especially in the field of medicine, as well as their role in promoting the relations between the University and the UAE and searching for ways to activate cultural and scientific exchanges to serve the State and Emirati graduates from all countries, Al Moansoori also discussed cooperation in scientific research.
At the end of the meeting, Mansouri presented the UAE Embassy shield to the delegation and in turn received a Monash University shield.
