The Education Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court has announced the launch of an interactive training program to develop the capabilities of teachers and support them in teaching the courses of the moral education curriculum across all UAE schools.

The program aims at training 1,500 teachers nationwide and has already trained its first group of 400 teachers in co-operation with a number of partners and experts in this field.

The step responds to the needs of teachers and is aimed at enhancing their educational performance across the UAE and hence making the best of the Moral Education Curriculum, which was launched in 2016 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The training courses are designed for teachers of all academic backgrounds, educational specialities and methodologies. Additionally, the courses use an innovative approach that contributes to developing teachers’ abilities and means of communication with students. By this, teachers will be able to enrich their teaching materials and communicate information to students in a smooth and fun way, particularly that it is an exceptional curriculum at the level of the region and the world and in the education sector in general.

The training program will be delivered in-person and digitally and its content and methodologies will address the cultural diversity of the UAE. It will also provide teachers with the required tools for modifying and aligning examples and lessons in their classrooms with a view to streamlining the engagement of all students for the ultimate end of ensuring the availability of trainers of moral education curriculum in every school and district.

Taught every day for 60 minutes to all students, the Moral Education Curriculum is based on four pillars; namely, Character and Morality, the Individual and the Community, Civic Studies and Cultural Studies.

The curriculum is an innovative and interactive program designed especially for young students, irrespective of their nationalities and ages, to be more familiar with such comprehensive values and principles that reflect the shared experiences of humanity.
