Hussain Al Hammadi: We rely heavily on the teacher’s role in enlightening and immunizing the youths’ minds

In the framework of the specialized training program launched by the Ministry of Education (MOE) recently in various UAE cities with the capacity of 13,500 educational workers, a lecture titled “Guarding the Youth against Destructive Thoughts” was held by the MOE and administered by Dr. Farouk Hamada, Advisor to the Court of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces in Al Razi Theater in the university of Sharjah.
The lecture was attended by His Excellence Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, the Minister of Education and a large number of the workers in the educational field, relevant parties and MOE’s officials.
His Excellence Hussain Al Hammadi started his speech by asserting that the ethics, values and approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah bless his soul, established a lifestyle for the UAE’s society. He, the constructor and founder, put the seeds of tolerance, equality and justice in the UAE’s sons. The MOE seeks to devote the students’ thinking to such approach depending on embedding a moral value system in the school curricula. This value system teaches the Emirati School students the unique characteristics sought by the wise leadership for the purpose of graduating well-educated and creative individuals that are capable of coping up with the modern skills and fields of knowledge. The MOE pursues to produce responsible, productive, tolerant, communicative, good and highly ethical citizens.
His Excellency said that the MOE’s educational programs and policies aim at the cognitive and ethical empowerment of students through equipping them with the high values and principles that cannot be separated from the role of the school which is concerned with providing the proper education and upbringing that cope up with the new developments. He said that the MOE relies heavily on the teacher’s role in enlightening and implanting the high values and principles, distinguishing the UAE’s society, in the coming generations’ minds.
He finalized his speech with stressing the importance of ethics, being the basic material of building nations and the root of the society’s development and protection against the destructive ideas that invade the global scene and target our children, achievements and gains in every field. He also referred to the significance of employing the teacher’s educational role in fostering the values of goodness, tolerance and giving and launching the initiatives and programs that encourage this approach.
Advisor Dr. Farouk Hamada started his speech by saying that the first step towards protecting the youths is taken by school with its educational, motivational and enlightening programs of the future generations. Such programs are meant to qualify and bring up them in accordance with the high values.
He indicated that the school is a collective vessel of the original educational principles that teach students the wise and critical thinking which contributes to developing their knowledge and building their characters to be able to face any challenges and difficulties. He praised the MOE’s leading role in creating a coherent ethical system that establish the values of goodness, justice and benevolence.
He underlined the central role of teachers in building knowledge-based security systems that enable students to combat misleading thinking. He referred to that the teacher is the cornerstone of enlightenment, axis of development and eye of society on the coming generations. He added that from this perspective, the teacher has to find an effective and positive formula to communicate with students to be able to determine their intellectual, academic and social directions and tendencies.
He added that the schools and higher education institutions are responsible for an important mission which is establishing the values of loyalty and belonging in the students’ minds to fill in the gaps through which the destructive ideas may creep into their minds. He indicated the importance of the modern technologies and techniques in opening the students’ horizons and improving their conversational skills and accepting the other.
He set clear that the state and society institutions with their constituents are responsible for our sons’ good thinking, particularly during this stage which witnesses a state of intellectual chaos that led to threatening social institutions and noble human values in favor of negative, misleading, destructive and corruptive ones.
His Excellency Farouk Hamada stated that, thanks to the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah bless his soul, which aimed at creating a happy society, providing the members of society with the means to good living and equipping them with the excellent and leading tools to maintain the UAE’s achievements and international position, the UAE has adopted an approach to protect the youths’ minds to sustain development and maintain its gains. Such approach depends on establishing the high values in the coming generations’ minds to protect them and preserve the UAE’s development.
Conclusively, he stressed the role of the youths in the UAE’s progress and maintenance of achievements. He also referred to the vital role played by the society in protecting and supporting the young people and the central role performed by the wise leadership in UAE towards the young people and the development of their capacities and skills describing them as the future jockeys.
