and the first and second kindergarten stages for the academic year 2020/2021 will
be open from 2nd February to 12th March, while registration in the
Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s schools (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Al Dhafra) will be open from
23rd February.
The MoE

importance of this educational stage in which the child’s prospects are formed
at the cognitive, skill and social levels.
Students born
in 2014 are entitled to register in the first grade, while children born in
2015 and 2016 can join kindergartens in the second stage and first stage
respectively, the MoE said, stressing the importance of registration in the
dates indicated, enabling the MoE to create the appropriate environment, arrange
the accommodation of students in those educational stages and provide all their
needs as per the highest international standards followed.

women. As part of these conditions, a student must be within the legal age,
registration applications of students as listeners are not acceptable and
schools must be committed to approving a student’s file after being registered by
the MoE via Al Manhal portal. Government schools and kindergartens must also be
committed to accepting new students as per their residential areas and to
registering students by their ID cards only.
As far as
enrolment of students of determination is concerned, the MoE
indicated that they must be enrolled through the Special Education Support Centers
all over the UAE. These centers will diagnose and evaluate students through
interviews, which will be arranged in co-ordination with parents.
The MoE paid
great attention to the early stages of school education in view of their
importance for preparing students for the subsequent educational stages, H.E. Fawzia
Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary for School Operations Sector, said. The MoE
provided an inspiring educational structure for students in those stages in

a stimulating educational atmosphere that attracts students and helps them elaborately
integrate in these educational stages in view of their role in preparing
students from the educational, scientific and mental viewpoints, she added.
