Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, - May Allah preserve him - the 3-day World Education Forum and Global Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) 2018 under the theme of "Inspired for a lifetime" will kick off tomorrow at Sheikh Saeed Halls at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 11th edition of the forum will be attended by 100 speakers representing education specialists and educationalists from around the world to preview the world's best educational experiences and benefit from them in strengthening the educational system in the UAE by examining such experiences and drawing general guidelines that will push the efforts of the Ministry of Education to establish a competitive and innovative leading education.
The forum will provide 250 specialized training courses in the field of professional development for the educational field cadres to discuss the various aspects of education and the mechanisms to promote it to reach higher levels of skill and empowerment to fully translate the vision of the Ministry of Education.
The forum aims to encourage education professionals and concerned parties to adopt mechanisms and methods that promote the concept of lifelong learning. The forum also opens a wide horizon for students on how to optimally acquire and use knowledge, motivate them to self-study and consider the school as a starting point for lifelong learning.
The forum discusses three main themes: how to change the way students think and prepare them to acquire knowledge on their own by enabling them to use research tools and encourage them to innovate. The focus of enhanced learning is how to create an educational environment to meet the needs of learners and enable them to better understand while learning using the latest educational technologies. The "Wellbeing" theme discusses how to take care of the psychological, mental and health aspects of students and addresses some of the violence phenomena in the school environment.
The forum will be accompanied by the launch of the Global Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) with 550 leading educational solutions companies that will showcase the best digital educational content to contribute to the creation of innovative educational thinking that simulates the future of education in the coming decades.
