In the presence of Ministry leaders,
employees and students, the Ministry of Education celebrated the 45th National Day with art and heritage paintings
extoling the nation and its people
The
Ministry of Education yesterday celebrated the 45th National Day where the Ministry organized a number
of national and heritage events expressing love for the nation, at its
headquarters in Dubai. Schools also celebrated this national occasion through
the implementation of a range of activities and programs that highlight the
value of the nation in the hearts and souls of its youth.
Attending
the Ministry’s celebrations were H.E Marwan Al Sawaleh, Undersecretary of the
Ministry of Education for Academic Affairs, H.E Khawla Al Mu’ala, Assistant
Undersecretary for Curricula & Assessment Sector and H.E. Amna Al Dahak Al
Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Welfare & Activities Sector, in
addition to Ministry employees and a huge number of students who had prepared
traditional art paintings depicting the values of heritage.
Celebrations
began with the national anthem, followed by the oath of allegiance to the
nation and its wise leadership. Participating students then presented a number
of heritage paintings extoling the nation and the sacrifices of its
people. The Ministry also organized a heritage exhibition which included
traditional tents, displaying some of UAE’s heritage products.
The
celebrations organized by the Ministry reinforce the values of belonging and
love of the nation, where students prepared a painting that embodies the
concept of patriotism and pride in the National Day as a glorious memory,
honouring the State’s accomplishments in all sectors, in particular the
educational sector, which the State counts upon for continuance of development
and prosperity.
Educational
leaders from the Ministry, along with students and parents, participated in the
various events celebrating National Day amidst traditional songs and the
partaking of a folklore art troupe which presented paintings depicting
heritage, customs and traditions of the UAE society.
A
number of participating students recited a poem honouring the sacrifices of UAE
nationals and commending the cultural vision of the wise leadership, which
contributed to the development of the country after the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin
Sultan Al Nahyan and other rulers established the UAE union.
